MELTING POWER: To approximately -13°F (practical temp.)

SAFE: To use on concrete and around vegetation. Magnesium chloride is even a commonly used plant nutrient.

LESS AGGRESSIVE : Magnesium chloride is less corrosive on metal as it has significantly less chloride content and is nearly 50% water. Also, because it is not noticeably exothermic (gives off heat) it is less likely to cause irritation to skin or pets.

DUST CONTROL (Flakes)

LESS HARMFUL: To pets and the environment because the product has nearly 50% water content.

WORKS QUICKLY: Because of the high moisture content.

STAYS PUT: The shape of the flake helps it stay where applied and has less of a tendency to move by foot or vehicle traffic.
